David Lavoie practices primarily in the area of personal injury litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defence claims. David strives to provide his clients with clear and practical advice on the merits of each claim. He utilizes the Rules of Court and years of legal experience to achieve favourable results for his clients both at trial and through the process of negotiation.

David takes a very personal approach to the practice of law. Whether he is acting for a large corporate client or an individual who has been injured in an accident, he works diligently to ensure that every client receives the care and personal attention they deserve.

David has successfully represented clients in a variety of civil matters including motor vehicle accident claims involving serious personal injuries, such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, and psychological injuries. He has also handled Family Compensation claims for wrongful death, disability and life insurance claims, bank fraud and other commercial disputes. David has extensive experience in all aspects of the litigation process and has appeared as counsel in both the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.

David joined Stevens Virgin in April 2010 after working for over a decade at a boutique litigation firm in Vancouver.
