Jason has built a broad practice primarily focussed on defending institutional insurers but he also represents private individuals and small corporations in personal injury and commercial disputes. Regardless of the type of client or dispute, Jason consistently works to find the best outcome for his clients, whether that be through settlement, amediation, arbitration, or trial.
In his first year at Stevens Virgin, Jason represented the defendants in five motor vehicle actions being tried at the same time and was successful in having all five dismissed. At a second trial, the court agreed with his position that the plaintiff should be awarded only one-third of the amount sought.
Prior to finding his calling in the law, Jason enjoyed a successful career as a restaurateur, studied communications at Capilano University and earned his BA in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia. He attended the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, concurrently completing an MBA and his JD in 2016 and was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2017.
Jason is a member of the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Bar Association, the Treasurer of the Young Lawyers section of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, and a member of the Trial Lawyers Association.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys photography, playing beach volleyball, and spending time in the outdoors with his family.
